how to submit comments
As you are well aware, government agencies such as FMCSA, FHWA, and NHTSA each
have their own safety mission statements and agendas, which has resulted in the
trucking industry today facing ever increasing regulations and mandates. Therefore, it is essential that the
experiences, views, and voices of professional truck drivers and small business
owners who truly represent the trucking industry are heard. Thus, the OOIDA Foundation would like
to provide a brief instruction on how to submit comments online to the variety
of notices, NPRMs, information collection requests (ICRs), and final rules that
are published on the Federal Register.
You may submit comments identified online by following the instructions below:
- Click on the following link regulations.gov
- Enter the
Docket Number into the “Keyword” box, and click search. (The yellow highlighted box below designates
the “Keyword” box and an example of a Docket Number.)
- When the new screen appears, click on the “Comment Now!” button
- Type your comment into the text. Choose whether you are submitting your comment as an individual or on behalf of a third party and then submit.
Below is a list of Docket Numbers that you may copy and paste into the "Keyword" box.
